that will work fine. 400W is a safe amount to run the 12W6V2. Personally i have a 600W @ 2 ohms rockford fosgate amp powering a single 12W6V2. It hits really hard. If you want a little more power try and power them with 500-600 watts each. 2 of these monsters are gonna shake your car apart. wish i could be there

I would not recommend throwing 600 watts to them. There thermal power is 400 watts. 600 is just going to stress your speakers and prob void your warrentty. Try a ported box built to jl specs and you will have all the bass you need. Or go with there specs on a sealed box.

400w is the optimum load for them, I'd say 500-600 is fine..when i had my single 12w6v2 I had a Rockford Fosgate Power Series 1000/1 amp powering it...gain was turned like 3/4 way, hit pretty hard, it took the beating pretty good, then i sold it.

I will agree with what has been said, 400W rms to each sub is ok, a little more can't hurt, "better to be overpowered then underpowered" but your not underpowered. However no one has said how you should wire them and as the subs are 4 ohm you can only wire them together is parallel into a 2 ohm load or in series into an 8 ohm load, you can't use the 2 ohm load as you amp is not stable below 4 ohms when bridged, and an 8 ohm load would cut the output of the amp to 400W RMS, [too low for the subs] so your only option is to leave the amp in 2 ch. mode and wire one sub to each ch. that way you have 400W rms x 2 into 2 ohms.
IMO your best bet would be to get an 800-1000 watt mono block amp instead. Like the JL 1000/1 http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...d=221 or the Eclipse DA7122 http://www.eclipse-web.com/amp/da7122.html either one is a better amp to run your JL subs. 94
