i stumbled accross this last night for $99 shipped through newegg.

people say it works with the IPHONE 3G however, i havent spoken with Clarion yet.

everything else ive found is $100-200 more so i just thought i would share.

BTW, it seems like it should work with other brands and USB thumb drives. any comments welcome.

i work at bestbuy and we have a sony with front usb and it says iphone compatible but havent gotten a chance to test it. not cool enough for the iphone i have the storm.
but the price on that sony is $160 ish cant remeber the model

The Clarion unit works with the iPhone. You may get an airplane warning message, just ignore it and it will go away.

I have the 785 with the USB and I don't think it has enough output power spin my external either that or there are file types on there that aren't recognizable. But it does take my sd card and reader just fine.
