Default How to wire bridged stereo mode??

My current amp says 2ohm stable bridged stereo mode or at least that is what they car stereo shop told me when I got it many, many years ago. I am gonna hook up a DVC 10" to it that has dual 4ohm vc. I wired it for 2 ohms, but before I go blowing fuses or worse, how do I configure my amp for bridged stereo mode?? Should I just move the selector to stereo and bridge it?

really old Alpine, I think it is 3542. Do I just bridge to two channels and then switch the selector to stereo?

The input mode switch has to be set on L+H if you are bridging and have both RCAs plugged in, if the switch is in the L(mono) position, the speaker output must be bridged and you can plug a RCA into the left RCA input only, [this was so you could use two of the amps, one for left and the other for right] DO NOT use the L(mono) any other way
This is not the amp to use for the subs you have, wiring it to a 2ohm load will only damage it, or at the least trip the thermo switch 94

Thanks fcm. I was thinking the guy might've ment just hooking it up in stereo mode. Maybe I was just thinking I heard "bridged stereo mode" when he actually said stereo mode.
