As I've observed from the past three attempts on my EK - they go straight for the hood.
...Until I take advantage of the castle doctrine, but that's a different thread.

I know some of this was discussed in old threads, but I'd like to see some collaborative input from experienced members here.

1. I fitted an electronic solenoid directly to the latch mechanism, wired to my stealth alarm's aux relay. Obviously you need a backup battery for this.
* I would like to know if anyone's tried using an OEM electronic hood/trunk latch from another vehicle that might be more practical than custom fab.

2. Welded a metal box around the entire assembly so it's only accessible with tamper-proof bolts inside the engine bay.

3. Relocated the alarm hood switch to the battery side in case they sardine-can it.
*I'd like to see thoughts/suggestions on locking hood pins, which I hear can be "stealth" installed so they're not visible from the hood? I'm curious if I could put the locks in the wheel wells.

4. Epoxied the grill directly to the bumper, and used tamper-proof nuts & bolts to secure the entire bumper on.
*not sure what to do if they just cut/rip the bumper off, but the alarm would 'probably' trip by then.

5. Secured razor wire through and under the bumper, then sprayed it all with rat poison... because I'm a sick bastard. :D

I know I'm missing things, feel free to chime in.

If I had to do any or all of that to keep a Honda/Acura in my driveway I'd move or buy a Neon.

Heard this here I think.
Small piece of chain connected to the latch & a lock.

Allows the hood to be opened enough to trigger the hood pin but not any further.

Probably can be explained better but thats the gist of it.

do you use these, have you done a stealth install, and how many variations of keys do they make? have you tried to open it with a bic pen? do they break off while driving or forced entry like I've heard in other forums?
We need detailed experience with products.

Might a good option for someone that hasn't already taken any other security measures. However, it doesn't seem like it deters them from "trying" to break in. Maybe a photo or video if this in use would be more helpful.

Neons are also really easy to steal. I had one when I was a kid, I could literally break in and hot wire it with no tools at all.
We have a tuner theft ring in our area, I'm really just looking to keep them occupied long enough to steady my aim.
