HELP! 2004 Honda Accord Factory Alarm
For a 2004 Honda Accord V6:
PROBLEM:
1. red factory alarm warning light on dashboard keeps blinking
2. lights flash on and off like hazard lights for about 5 minutes whenever I open the door (must turn on the headlights to stop the flashing)
2. brake lights don't work but tail lights work
3. need to insert stick into shift lock nearby the shift **** to be able to drive and reverse
TEMPORARY:
-I've removed the horn fuse from under the hood to stop the alarm from blaring but the alarm is still armed because the circular red light flashing on dashboard does not go away
*I've lost the main key and the FOB and only have a valet key to start the car but won't manually unlock the doors*
What should I do aside from going to the dealership because they have taken advantage of me before and I don't trust that they have the compassion to help me without overcharging?
I was thinking if there was anyway for a professional locksmith to reprogram the alarm with a code or help me out in this situation because I'm sure if they're able to make keys like the dealership, they could also permanently reset the alarm as well.
I know there's a way to do this because I've had a friend do it before but somehow I can't reenact what he did (probably blew out the fuse?)

Re: HELP! 2004 Honda Accord Factory Alarm
I would take the vin to a dealer and get a new key cut. then buy key fob off of ebay and find a diy online on how to program key fob.
maybe also try local stereo alarm installations shops and ask if they sell aftermarket key fob.
serious question, but why should the dealer show you compassion for something you lost?
