LOL... All propaganda, similar to the specs of "The Club", which can be defeated in less than 30 seconds...
You're putting an awful lot of faith in this device.
I hope it's not your only layer of security.

Already tried that one. I tried to defeat this my self and could not. We tried hacksaw the bracket,LOL...that was a joke.
I have installed several of these in various car. I do the installs for a living. Not one car has yet to be stolen. And yes they were broken into but car remains!!
Nothing better out yet. This is a mechanical lock. Not a fuel pump kill switch which can be beat easily or an alarm

I'm curious how these attach to the car itself. Do you have pictures of what comes in the "kit"?
One thing you have to think about when attempting to bypass these sorts of devices, is that a thief will not be concerned with scratching up interior panels and basically fu[/i]cking your car up just to bypass this device.
As for your comment about fuel cutoffs, them being easily bypassed is very arguable.

true but i know a few cars with kill switches that were stolen.
But i guess if they want it they will tow it.

You answered a completely different question. Read much?
He referred to sawing the shifter itself, which can be done in probably less than a minute.

I read it,lol...you can saw the shifter but your still not going to be able to shift!

If I can steer my car with just my quick release hub, I sure as **** can shift that car with a stub of a shifter...
In that picture, there's a good couple of inches below the bottom of the "almighty shackle" that goes around the shifter. If one was to cut the shifter beneath the "indestructible shackle of doom", he/she would surely be able to shift the vehicle.
And even if there wasn't enough room to shift, what's stopping the thief from pulling off the cut part of the shifter, then using their foot to bend that bracket into the passenger leg area? Even if the bracket didn't bend, I'm not putting any money on the 10+ year old sheet metal of your floorboard holding up.
Again, you can swing off this thing's nuts all you want, but it's not the end-all be-all solution to securing a vehicle like you're making it out to be.

Re: (B18C_EJ8)
I agree but nothing will stop a tow truck if someone wants your car...Nothing......
This will surely stop all those street theifs who think they can steal anything....LOL
And then sell your parts online
And by the way, You can install this all the way down until it hits the console if you want to so that there is no space to cut anything
Best part of being a custom install

That's pretty cool. What do you do when you drive? Just unlock it and remove the lock or does the whole thing disassembles? And, as the other guy stated, is the foundation welted or bolted on? -Thanks

Well you insert the key and it releases the shackle. Which then you slide into the grooves and its held in place.
Comes with bolt in hardware. Just to let you know, they are break off nuts which get installed under the car NOT inside.
But you can weld it if you like.

I don't know about "attractive" haha, but it's definitely another layer to add to the complete security setup of your vehicle.
Whatever it takes to buy a little more time, I suppose. But I'm happy I've heard the insight and opinions of others that have posted here.

Re: (Artikgrau325is)
It's a good physical layer. Depending on cost, I'd consider adding one to go along with my alarm. But I caution against relying on that alone.
