eclipse radio help unlock
does anyone know how to unlock an eclipse cd player. it has that ESN security feature, where you have to send it back to the company for 25 bucks. Is there anyway around this? I got it from an auto salvage.

If purchased new and the warranty card was sent in, they can do it over the phone if you take it to an authorized dealer. Since you purchased it used, there is no way around it and you do have to send it in along with $25.

Re: (IVI)
Okay here is what you do:
1. Go to an nearest eclipse dealer and request an ESN swap form.
2. Fill out form and provide copies of bill of sale/driver liscinse/state id
vin from vehicle removed from/mothers maiden name. ( im not making
this up..I had to do this alot with my customers)
3. dealer will complete and fax to eclipse.
4. Within 1-36 hours...Ecplise will contact dealer and inform him of
wither the unit needs to be shipped back or it has a "rolling code" reset.
5. You are now the proud owner of an eclipse radio...or either bunk mate
of tossed salad man!!.
There you go.. have fun. If you still want to get rid of it I'll give you $10 bucks
for shipping that paperwieght to me not a penny more
have fun
