does a new OEM radio for 98 cvic need programed?
I need to program my keyless remote, but my oem radio under the dash ( I have an aftermarket system) is missing the head unit for some reason. I will have to get an OEM radio for my 98 civic on eBay. Can I just plug it right in or does it have to be programmed or something like that? I thought I read somewhere that I will have to take it to a dealer for him to reprogram the radio and all that stuff. Also, is the radio code going to be an issue?
thanks!

Easier just to buy a cheap key-less entry unit and ditch the OEM fob, or you can use any alarm or remote start and just wire the key-less door lock feature. 94

you will need the radio code to unlock the radio of course. programming the fob takes 10 seconds.
