Im looking into getting an alarm and just an alarm. I dont really need the remote start stuff attached. So Ive come to two decisions and they are the Clifford Matrix 12.5X or the Viper 5002 Responder 2-Way Security System. Are they just about the same thing? and how (if they are) inferior are they compared to the ones with remote start say Clifford Matrix 50.7x? Is the only difference between the Cliffords just the remote start and the other little functions, because I just want an alarm that is good. I also read the description of the Clifford 12.5x and Viper 5002 and I dont see anything about proximity sensors does anyone know if it comes with it?

Clifford, Viper, Python... they are all made by DEI.
it does not come with a prox. sensor, but you can add it on. you just have to buy the sensor separate.
