Re: clifford rsx 3.5 remote (LoveOfMoney)
Is it still arming the alarm, or just locking the doors, the arming "chirp" has been turned off or the alarm is in valet, when you "arm" it, does the LED in the dash start blinking, if you open a door, [with a key] does the alarm go off?
If the alarm triggers, [park lights start flashing] but no siren, the siren or it's wiring is bad, if the siren also works, [normal alarming operation] the arming chirps have been programed off.
On a Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 temporary "silent mode" is done by pressing the trunk release button for less then 1 sec. before you press lock or unlock, for permanent arming chirp disable you have to go into programing mode,
There are 2 ways to turn valet on and off, you can use the valet/program button/switch and the ign. switch, [turn ign. on, press switch, its the same for on or off] or you can use the remote, [open a car door, then press lock then unlock then lock again, also the same for on and off] in both cases it has to be done with alarm disarmed, and in both cases the LED will come on solid when valet mode is on. 94 94

Re: (LoveOfMoney)
If the LED is on solid it means the system is in valet, when in valet the alarm and remote start will not work only the key-less entry, [door locks and park light flash] use the remote control to take it out of valet, open a door, press and release the lock/arm button then press and release the unlock button and then press and release the lock button again, the LED should turn off.
If that works and the remote start works again, arm the alarm, [lock the doors with the remote] LED should flash, then unlock a door with the key and open it and see if the alarm goes off, park lights should be flashing even if siren is not working 94

What works and what does not?
The alarm arms, doors lock, the park lights flash, and the LED blinks, [about once a sec.] and the alarm goes off if you open a door with the key, the siren goes off and the park lights flash, [for 30-60 sec., depending on programing] and then the siren and park lights stop, but the alarm is still armed, until you disarm it with the remote of valet/program switch.
The above is an alarm with everything working.
There are a number of reasons why the remote start does not work even if the alarm is working, there are a few reasons the park lights do not flash even if the alarm and the remote start are working.
Look in your owners or install guide for "long term event history" the number of times the LED flashes back will tell you what is shutting the remote start down.
What exactly happens when you try and remote start?
Press (*) 2 times, the park lights should flash and 4 sec. later the car should remotely start. 94

Re: (LoveOfMoney)
Well the next thing I would do is check the light flash output from the alarm white H1/11, [12 pin main harness] make sure it is connected properly, and also check that the park light flash polarity jumper is installed and in the proper spot (+), I would also try and reprogram the tach. 94
