Clifford(DEI), Viper, or Alpine alarms
I'm considering one of these alarms Clifford(DEI), Viper, or Alpine alarms, which one is better for my R. Any ideas of customizing from the people who already has one of these alarms on their R? Thanks in Advance!

DEI---I have had no probs at all with it. Had Best Buy help me out on the trunk release cause it was alittle tricky but other then that i have no problems with it at all. I have all the goodies as well less the remote starter.

Any of three are fine companies. In general, Clifford comes with better security features especially in their higher-end models. At the current moment, service (repairs and tech support) is easier to get fot the DEI and Alpine alarms. Since the buyout of Clifford, it's been hard to get service on their stuff.
The most important feature with any alarm is the quality of the installation (this topic has been previously debated). Quality is not just how neat the wires are run but also takes into consideration the placement of the brain, how the wires blend with the factory ones, quality of connections, siren placement and so on.

Clifford's the way to go. Most the of the more expensive rice out there have clifford. the only other alternative would be those pager systems. use this in conjuction with an autolock AND club AND untraceable kill switch to the fuel system.

The answer to this is gonna vary from person to persom based on favoritism...
Personally the DEI alarms are the most instal and user friendly. The Cliffords are also good when they are properly installed.
You can add window modules, extra accessories to any alarm, so don't decide based on that.

Nah. Just buy some cheap window decals that say, "Alarm installed", and put in a flashing LED! Works for me...although I live in the Washington equivalent of Beverly Hills....
But that in conjunction with a club or a foot pedal lock thing would surely make thieves think twice.
