Changing door locks
I Want to know if it's possible to change the door lock cylinder so that it is not as easily opened with any ole key. I've searched and all i find is "how to replace door locks" (oem to oem) and power conversions but not what I'm looking for. If anybody can help, I'd appreciate it

Re: Changing door locks
Um what? Are you talking about replacing them with some other manufacturer's hardware? I have owned nearly half a dozen Hondas and none of them could be opened at all with any other Honda keys.
Just buy some new locks.

Have you tried to open them or are you just assuming they couldn't be open. I've seen it done far too many times, on more than a dozen different cars. Doors, ignition, and trunk.
You might not be able to do it but thieves have mastered it.
Has anyone changed their lock cylinder?

Re: Changing door locks
Yes. I have tried to open them. Owning three of them at a one time it was not uncommon to confuse keys. And everything I've read said this only happens with old worn out cylinders, not new ones.
