cassette adapter isn't working
i have a car from 1995 and it has a cassette player only so i tried to connect my mp3 player to it with a cassette adapter by monster. However, it plays only for a second, makse a grinding noise, and spits it out. Does this mean that it doesn't like the adapater and will never work?

I'm guessing you have a factory deck. Another thing you can do is turn off the 'automatic skip' function. It's when the deck detects a blank spot on the tape and automatically fast forwards to the next song. It's possible the adapter can't handle the increased speed when the deck starts to fast forward and ends up locking up, resulting in ejection from the deck.
