Can the Back speakers (6x9's or 6 1/2's) SOUND blown from bass from a subwoofer?

my 6 1/2's in the back of my 95 civic EX are newer pioneers, when I lower the bass on subs(alpine Type R's with a 2000 watt rms hifonics) they are NOT blown, i am positive, but when I turn up the bass *** to a certain point, the speakers sound like their blown or cracking a little, not subs though. Could it be the speakers or the covers? Sorry I was a little drunk. Can the subwoofers be so loud that they distort the 6 1/2's???

How about you take your drunk *** over to the rear of the car, put your ear up to them and find out? Start by disconnecting the subs.

Yes it could be the speaker covers, but it could also be the settings on your radio. Are you using stock or an aftermarket radio?

LMFAO I like ********, I did turn off the subs *****, it DIDN'T sound blown when they were off, but I'm one million percent positive subs aren't blown because I did the reverse and tested them alone as well. Probably equal amount of head unit settings and Speaker cover.

Yea I figured out if I put it on FLAT(instead of the custom setting the audio tech did at a reputable audio installer) my inside rear speakers would sound the way I had them before, but his setting has more bass(80hz setting on Pioneer DEH-x3600UI) than flat does, I think i can fix that and even it out by setting the sub woofer setting ONLY and raise the bass(not bass boost) on that instead of the custom settings in EQUALIZER. Thank you for the helpful info though, the speaker that sounds blown actually has one screw missing from the cover, I think lol.

Loudness: high
HPF: 50-80hz
Low: 0 to -3
mid: +1 - +3
High: +2 or +3 - +4 or +5
It leaves the interiors nice and bright and cuts off a lot of the bass coming out of them so they don't get muddy. You will hear a little less bass from the sub when you drop the Low setting under 0 but you can compensate with raising the subwoofer volume or turning up amp gains ONLY if you are currently <75% to max on the dial.

Or you could just wire up some bass blockers to the 6.5s/6x9s and not lose anything at all and not have to compensate by tweaking settings on anything.

With that deck if you turn on the high pass you also will take some of the bass out of the speakers and leave the bass to the subs. It is all about the bass but you also want to be able to enjoy the all of the sounds that the artists have put together too.

Truth be told, they are more of an "upsell" for car audio shops. Sure they work but they are for applications where you don't have the ability to adjust EQ settings. Bass blockers don't block anything that can't be tuned out by any $80 radio.

I consider them a layer of tuning. I don't rely on them exclusively to block unwanted frequencies to specific components.

It might be clipping. A good way to tune your system is to turn the volume up and start adjusting the amp settings. Once thats done, you go through the settings of the radio from that point on. I have no bass coming from the speakers. Just mids and highs. Subs handle all bass. Omly time i had bass come through the 6x9s was when my amp took a ****.
But you can have a tiny bit of bass come though, but it makes no difference since the sub wil overpower the 6x9s in every way lol.

If the rears are on the rear deck, when the sub is turned up the rears are "passive radiators" the rear cones are being moved by the air pressure of the sub.
This is what I do, I cover the bottom/back of the rear speakers with Dynamat, [or the like] to prevent air pressure from the sub to effect the rear speaker. 94
