it's operating properly. What you are asking about is illegal and will not be discussed here.

you 2 just follow each other around?

usually the parking brake wire just needs to be grounded. i know the pioneer avic-d3 requires a ground, but it does a self check every power up and a constant ground will cause it to not function like you want. it will then use the gps to shut down the function of viewing videos or changing certain settings. what i did in mine was use a toggle switch. it basically mimics the on/off motion of a parking brake.

Yes we do, We just keep saying the say thing over and over.

And you posted and put your foot in your mouth. That is not even how to bypass a pioneer avic d-3. And dam sure not a avic z-1. There is only one unit in the pioneer line on which that will work.

If your going to be a smart azz please make sure you have the right info to back it up.

I fail to see how we "follow each other around"... This forum only has a page and a half of threads... We're bound to post in the same thread once in a while... Especially when people make asses out of themselves and act like gradeschoolers...

d3 won't bypass with a simple ground switch on the parking brake line... it also requires re-pinning one of the harnesses. i think i've put in enough of those damn things to know

Since you mr big and bad I am going to make a fool of you.

you can not bypass a d3 with a freaking toggle switch. No way ,no how. So your azz does not even own one. Because You would of know this. I was one of the first to find out how to do it after it came out. Even with a switch the gyro will still shut it of PERIOD. If this was the case it would of been to simple. I going to make a video of your install method on the next car I do with a d3 which will be next week. Everybody knows a certain numbers of pins need to depinned and repinned to a certain slot. And being a pioneer dealer I know that your and you don't have no special unit. No need to pm me about bring it to the public. I don't have shyt to hide. So you have been owned. And are going to be owned by a video with a sweet devotion to your screen name.

Anyone taking advice from this clown should make sure to check with someone else

hmm thats weird, my toggle switch works just fine. you do realize when you hook up the parking brake correctly it simply applies a ground when the parking brake is set and once the parking brake is released it removes that ground. which is exactly the toggle switch simulates. the gyro you speak of only shuts it down when the system has detected the parking brake wire has been wired up incorrectly.

btw its *** not azz. learn how to ******* speak/type the English language.

how about a bet? i know its on the web and its ******* retarded, but i challenge you to a bet. i will bet you my toggle switch method works wonders while I'm sure you spent countless hours trying to figure out how to remap the software/hardware.

you really are ignorant, but i await your video. i can prove my method works, why? because i own one and that is exactly what i did.

First plug in the gps antenna, and the unit will shut off after 10-15 min of driving once the gyro picks up. And why does at the end of your video does that message come back up. Owned by your own video

do i really need to show you the gps to prove its all plugged in? why would i rip apart my dash just to unplug the antenna, then put the dash back together, just to have to rip it apart again to get it to function.

just be a ******* man and admit you were wrong.

Is there any reason why you resort to hostility and name calling? There really is no need.

If you had installed plenty of these and you knew of only one way to bypass the lockout feature, would you really anticipate more than one way to skin the cat? Even the dedicated avic forum only lists one way to bypass the d3. I don't understand why they would go back to a simple e-brake switch when they have been using the gyroscope for so long.

I won't flat out call you wrong, since anything is possible, but I'll label it improbable to say the least.

Enough with the name-calling already.

Plug up the gps antenna and speed sencer and your unit will shut off in about 5-15 min once the unit knows the car is moving. Whats good is the unit if its not fully plugged up. I not going to say I wrong because I know the unit and I install them. I tried your method and it works for the time post before

alright ill stop name calling. its just amazing how some people refuse to be wrong. i do not have my avic rigged. i have everything plugged in. it would defeat its purpose to remove the gps antenna. who knows maybe i have a freak unit. all i know is ive used this method and have had my passenger watch a movie all the way thru to the end. about 90 minutes.

i agree with you on the gyro mechanism. the unit will shut it down if you dont simulate the parking brake correctly. done correctly (at least on mine) you can do a simply toggle switch.

this is the only thing i missed is your post. i do not have the speed sensor hooked up. its really not necessary. the avic-d3 has such a great gps antenna there is no need to hook up speed sensor. that may be the difference between what your tests and my tests show. my unit works flawlessly without the speed sensor and it is only intended to the gps map accurate when you are driving incase there is no gps coverage.
