Alarm Won't Unlock the Locks. clifford 50.5x .. always happens when its winter!!
well it happen yearly and it just started a few days ago. Im getting real sick of it since its raining like **** over here and i have to use the key to open the door.
Here are the info
95 240sx
Clifford 50.5x
Factory Door locks
Alarm arms,dearms, LOCKS,
Does not unlock anymore!(with remote, and or After shutting down and leaving car)
ONLY when its cold out(winter)
Factory switchs works
I think its a bad module! **** even remote start doesnt work sometimes.

no factory door locks are there.
it happen since day 1. I told wrx-killer-sti-eater, but he has not been up here to check it out.

Find the brain for the alarm and make sure the harnesses are snug. If you have a DMM, set for 12v DC and put the ground wire from the DMM on the unlock wire coming out of the brain and put the red wire on constant 12v. Press the unlock button on your door panel and see if you register about 12v on the DMM for a split second. If you do, this means your connection to the factory lock wire is ok. Now, press unlock on your remote to see if the alarm is outputting the negative pulse. If it is working correctly, you should also get 12v on the DMM.

lol im having a similar problem its weird lol
the alarm would disarm but the locks would say locked.. would take like 2-3 arm/disarm to get the locks open or key manual... its weird... if possible lmk the problem/solution so i can check it out after finals..

yep,
so later in the day i went to friends house and it started working(was blasting heat)
now its working fine

so its been fine but now it happen again this morning
locks fine but does not unlock at all
alarm chirps key shows unlock but does not unlock locks? and its both sides not just driver side that wont unlock???
remote start still in the **** hole and will not start if cold unless i let it crank a full cycle of tries and then hit remote-start 2nd time then it will work
desmond?

Sorry, I have not beeen in. Let me get that brain back and I am going to install a newer unit. The 50.5x is disco and I rather get you something better like the 50.7x which is suppose to be in your car (5 speed friendly). It seems that all the older units are having problems. Its best to text me, pm or leave a vm to get ahold of me. Sometimes I don't see all the threads.
