Default Alarm siren and oem horn...

I want to make my oem horn go off with the alarm siren. I already have relays and a flasher. Anyone have the diagram for it? Thanks

Skip the flasher, use the light flash output, [pos.(+)] on 85 of relay, connect the alarms orange, [H1/1] neg.(-) armed output to 86 of relay, ground 30 of relay to chassis and connect 87 of relay to horn wire, gray at steering wheel harness or green connector behind radio.
Horn will honk when park lights flash. 94

Thread revival, similar issue, similar model car... 99 Civic 2DR EX w/KARR alarm that can't be identified.

My Alarm's "Siren" output was previously attached to the Gray Horn wire from the Keyless Unit. It would drop to 0v when the horn would honk, and be +12v at all other times.

EDIT: This will make my siren and horn alternate, right?
EDIT: Oh shoot.. I think if I do this, and leave my parking lights on, the siren will sound the entire time my alarm is armed.. any way to remedy this?

Thanks again for the help!

forget it.. I think I know what I need to do...

30: Alarm's Light Flash Output
85: Alarm's Ground When Armed
86: Alarm's Light Flash Output
87: To Siren(s)

Sound right?
JG

EDIT: this will make the siren sound if the alarm arms with the lights on...

I would run a fused lead from the batt. to #30, so you have enough output for the horn. 94

I've got a +12v Const that I plan on using for my other sensors. It's already fused at 15A near the tapping source.

Will I still need an additional Fuse from this wire to my Siren Relay #30?

On a similar note, should ALL devices that require power have their own fuse? I haven't hard-wired anything yet, so making the necessary changes isn't a problem...

Thanks again!!

This relay isn't going to be connected to my siren/horn wire at all...

Also, what size should the Fuse be, if I'm running up to 2 Mini Piezos ("12V, 110mA" is on the back)? I 'll be connecting #30 to a Const 12v lead that's already got a 15A Fuse. Do I need another Fuse along that wire for this Relay's #30?

Thanks again!

The only time you absolutely need to add a fuse to a line that already has one is if the gauge of wire you add to the existing fused lead is a smaller gauge, you would fuse the smaller gauge wire with the appropriate fuse for that gauge of wire.

Remember, you fuse the lead, not the load, the fuse is there to protect the wire. 94

Got it (^^^). Thanks!

I'll be adding the fuses to the leads to the Sirens. They're really small wires, but I just don't know how small these fuses can go... Time to re-read the sticky to look for answers...

Thanks again!
