I'm trying to help a friend install a new deck in his '02 civic ex, but all the wiring diagrams I have come across online are inconsistent and have wires that do not correspond with the wires in the stock harness. I was wondering if any of you happen to have a factory manual that you could use to write down the wire colors and what they go to for me?

Here are all the wires in the factory harness:

Yellow w/ red stripe
Black
White
Pink
Blue w/ yellow stripe
Yellow w/ green stripe
Blue w/ black stripe
Blue w/ white stripe
Red w/ black stripe
Red
Grey w/ red stripe
White w/ red stripe
Green w/ yellow stripe
Green w/ black stripe

Yellow w/ red stripe - Ignition
Black - Ground
White - not listed
Pink - Rear right speaker +
Blue w/ yellow stripe - Right rear speaker -
Yellow w/ green stripe - Antenna
Blue w/ black stripe - Rear left speaker -
Blue w/ white stripe - Rear left speaker +
Red w/ black stripe - Fuse box (Usually on Hondas, the red-black is parking lights.)
Red - Dash light brightness controller
Grey w/ red stripe - Front right speaker -
White w/ red stripe - Battery power
Green w/ yellow stripe - Front right speaker +
Green w/ black stripe - Front left speaker +

Also,
Light green - Front left speaker -

There is no "white wire" in the service manual diagram, maybe you confused it for light green.

Here is a scan of an 03 etm. Sometimes Honda substitutes wire colors so it is not unusual to run across one that doesn't match every once in a while.

This is a very old thread. Normally, you should just create a new thread for a question if you couldn't find the answer from a search.

The Red/Blk wire is the (+) and the Red wire is the (-) for illumination of dash and console components. For the radio, on the stock harness connector, the wires go a harness connector that plugs into the back of under-dash fuse box. The driver's door mirror switch (as well as many other dash and console components) also have the Red/Blk and Red wires; they can be tapped there.
