Is 20 Continuous Amp Rating for a battery disconnect switch enough?
Im lookin for a switch for drag racing, my battery is in the trunk, and the switch will be behind the taillight (which i will take out for drags) im also running a sound system, which isnt too powerfull just 400rms x2 12" subs. I found the one below, and it has 20 Continuous Amp rating, im not sure if thats enough? Thanks!

20 amps x 12 volts = 240 watts. Is it enough? I think not. Your system alone is 800 watts rms.

So i need at LEAST 66 amps, what do you recommend 100 amps? Why do they sell such a small amp rating disconnect switch

Because not many race cars have two 12's in the trunk...

relay is a high current switch, that is controlled by an electromagnet. it has a coil that you send 12v and ground to, and it will close the circuit via its switch. the coil usually requires less than .5 amps to run, and you can use a tiny switch to run that. then the switch part of the relay will handle all the current. metra, stinger, etc have relays with ratings as large as 80 amp , and 120 amp. they prolly have larger also( yawn ) ijust woke up, sorry if this doesnt make sense.
