Default '08 honda crv stereo

I bought my crv and i can't stand that the radio only goes to 40. There seems to be a need to go beyond that and I don't much about stereos or speakers.

me 36 year old enjoy my smartphone for radio and clearly i am doing this for the base. I need some options

Any aftermarket stereo will give you more power over your factory unit. I would suggest one of the more well known brands like Pioneer, Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony etc. and steer clear of some of the "off" brands like Pyle, SSL, PowerAkoustic, BOSS, etc. Their price point is attractive, one of the more well known brands can be had for another $20-$40 and WELL worth the extra cash.

I just installed a Pioneer DEH-X4700BT in my 92 Civic and love it. Great sound, streaming bluetooth & hands free, and charges the phone from the front USB.

Just an FYI, when replacing your stereo you will also need additional parts for it to fit in the same opening as your factory so expect to purchase these separate as they are not included with your stereo purchase.(Although some retailers like Crutchfield will include them with a radio purchase.)
