Default 03 Civic LX stereo install problem

I am trying to help a friend install an aftermarket stereo that I had from a previous car that I owned. It is a Pioneer DEH-2200UB. This is not my first stereo install and have pretty good working knowledge of wiring. I know that it works and have checked all my connections from the car harness to the stereo. I am 99% sure they are all good. I have followed the wiring diagram for the car into the deck properly. The unit gets power and when I turn it on I can hear a click/pop from the rear speakers but ultimately no sound. I have checked the fuses that could possibly be linked to the stereo but maybe I'm missing something. If anyone has a direction to point please do so.

How are you using a wire harness or are you wiring it straight to the car's radio harness?

I am wiring it straight from the car to the stereo. No harness.

Wire colors, make sure they are all correct.

I am seeing my friend tomorrow and I will double check my connections and make sure they are all making good contact. Hopefully that is all it is....

This is the wiring diagram for the HU. The yellow/green wire from the car isn't in the stereo wire bundle but connected to the 12V acc (cig lighter) adapter. Should I connect them?

Quick update. I just checked the voltage on my speakers. I am getting 12v to left rear speaker but the other 3 are only getting 6. Not sure what that means???

If its not in the radio harness bundle, cap/tape off the blue white on the stereo

Try to find out which speaker is the one that pops. Then you need to follow the wire.if it's cut and touching the metal frame it will pop and cut off the sound. Try to disconnect the speaker wire in back of the stereo. Good luck...

Don't be a cheapass. Just get a wiring harness from Walmart and be done with. Even though it's not your car, suggest your friend to get one or buy one for him/her.
