Sparco wheel is finally in!! Got no pics though atm...

Sump gasket is leaking like a bitch!!! I'd replaced it, but I think my cheap torque wrench was partly to blame!!!! Will be replacing it again this weekend and using a decent torque wrench!!

Anyhow... some pics from another track day! Time was slower... feeling quicker in some parts but obviously not in others...

Brakes and fuel system coming up!! I've got the fuel system stuff... just been too lazy... lol!!

Time for an update!!!

Fuel system is all done! Consists of an Edelbrock FPR and fuel filter, Golden Eagle fuel rail, some -6 braided line and some speedflow fittings! Looks awesome! All nicely tucked away and no more big ugly OEM fuel filter!

Found the oil leak! It was the oil pan itself! The crush plate under the lip of pan was stuffed. Someone previously must have used an air impact gun or something to tighten it down and flatened the plate!! So when I torqued it down, it would squash the gasket!! So bought a new oil pan and got some baffle plates welded in while its out!! But while trying to find the oil leak, I replaced the rear main seal and installed a breather tank thinking I was getting too much crankcase pressure. The OEM PCV valve is crazy small... so thought it needed and upgrade.

Got some braided brake lines to replace the soft lines! All installed and made a difference!

Also... got a new PB at the track! Smashed my old one by 2 secs!!!

Got no pics atm... but will work on getting them done and up!!

Just another quick update!!

Not a great deal has been happening! Just some little cosmetic goodies! Because of this injury to my knee, I haven't been at work and have been passing the time doing bits to the car! Replaced the window strips (the ones the black goes crumbly and falls off) with some new ones, some OEM window visors and replaced the intake manifold gasket... which has fixed my idle problem! Must have been a vacuum leak or something. Finally got rid of the heater core and bits under the dash! So it's all nice and empty under there!

Next plan is to replace the front bumper because of the damage to it. I've got my hands on a second hand one ages ago for cheap. Just getting quotes to get it colour matched. Then going to finally do the brakes! Just some slotted rotors, possible some new pads (depending on how the current ones are like) and some extended studs!

Will be back at the track next weekend! Looking forward to it!!!

Yes, I know... still need to get some pics up and running!

How the engine bay looks now with filter, strut brace and valve cover breather tank.

Just collecting all the photos from its build since I last updated 4 years ago.

I love it! Not many sedans around that are even decent but yours is stunning! You were even able to make that green color look great. I love your car, and you have done nothing but excellent work to it. Great outcome, great car, man.

OK.... So the only pics I can find at the moment are the motor assembly ones. This will do for now.

I'm running B16 head with 'clover leaf' modified head chambers. This is to raise the compression via the head and not by a dome top piston. Thus leading to a better combustion by the mixture being compressed in the centre of the chamber where the spark is. Also as you can see I needed custom flat top pistons.

I ended up running the Dart block mainly because of the price I could get it compared to an OEM block getting sleeved (OEM b-series motors here are still expensive for what they are) and so I can get the max amount of displacement without having to increase the stroke. I like a motor that can rev. Having a closed deck also is a benefit. The block may be overkill for what it's being used for. But I'd rather over engineer it and have one less thing to worry about.

It's running a set of Kelford Cams and made about 200hp on 98 octane fuel. But these cams are nearly the same as the ITR cams, but with a slightly bigger lower cam. This was designed to create a more linear power curve as apposed to the VTEC 'kick' you get with the ITR cams. I'm currently getting a bigger set of cams for it. We'll see how they go.

Kinsler 58mm ITBs. Damn sexy!

Innovative mounts in black.

Engine bay prep. I was going to do a shave of the bay, but seemed like a lot of effort for a car that I race and will get dirty and scratched anyway.

1975 Alfa Romeo Green. I wanted something bright so oil leaks can be seen. Plus just wanted something bright and obnoxious.

The head. Nice ported head. And you can see the head chamber is now a clover shape, not round.

The block. Knife edged, lightened and balanced B20 crank. Finding the oil return galleys in the block are not quite big enough and have had so oil surging issues.

Motor on the engine stand at home getting all the external parts bolted on before being put into the car.

Ati damper thrown on for good measure.

The motor dropped in. Also running an MSD dizzy with external coil. Once we figured out the output signal from it for the new ecu it works well.

I'm in the process of finding some more photos of the rest of the car. These will be up when I get a chance!

Big thanks to Will at JHH Engineering for doing all the engine work for me. Really happy with the craftsmanship and how he looked after me.
