RHD 600whp DB8 slow Build
Well it's about that time again,, as some of you know i like saving hondas lifes lol as for my past projects all but one i finished which was the J series in my old Da. but about a year ago i bought this DB8 in houston for a hell of a price with 70xxx original miles. so i have driven it maybe 6 months of the whole year since it's mostly garage kept and i have another daily so this one don't get out too much.. well after IFO in december i told myself that the very next day i would start the tear down.. My plans are most certenly not going to rush this thing but i promised myself to have it done by IFO 2011 hopefully sooner but it don't matter to me.. well i know it's a picture thread and i'm at work at the moment but i will upload pics tonight when i get home.. Plans are converting the car to RHD "yes alot of people don't like it but to eah their own" and jdm front end (which came with the front clip i bought), ofcourse new paint, maybe new wheels, new suspension for sure, (already bought full tein shocks and coilovers), now for the motor wise im shooting for 500-600 whp which i have not yet to fully made up my mind with it on what setup i will be running yet but it will be the original B18c1 that came in the car. but like i said this will be a slow build so be patient for updates i work 60 hrs per week and got a wife and 2 little boys who always need my attention... so stay tuned for pics tonight of what has been done so far...BYB ALL DAY
Before
Let the tear down begin
ten minutes later the dash was out
Took out the metal brackets
another shot
slowly but surely junk is beginning to stack up

Re: RHD 600whp DB8 slow Build
so the way i'm funding this project is by buying and selling other cars so that my wife doesn't see how much i spend lol
this is what i picked up a month ago for 350 bucks (as a shell) bought a swap from a local shop and now its almost done to be sold

well small update today
pick me up one of these to make it easier to remove all the sealant
took out one of the seats lol
pulled the passanger side harness trough the firewall
hood and cowl removed
harness gone abs unbolted
began windshield removal
and found all this silicon under the plastic strip and all the clips were already broken so that's always nice lol

Re: RHD 600whp DB8 slow Build
i guess for the time being i'll put up the ones that the company emailed me yesterday of my clip
ok here are the pics of what is being shipped plus an oem bumper with lip
Ill post pics of it myself as soon as it comes in this weekend (if the truck carrying doesn't get stuck somewhere because of the bad snow storms up north)
