Our little 3 week long from the ground up project.. K24 inside
With four weeks till the IFO event in Tucson we decided to see if we could put together a car in that time frame.
Basically boss man picked up this eg hatch with an a2 in it.
Original plan was just to do paint and body work and drive it till it resold. So the body work began.
Then it was decided that we should see what it could do all motor....
Motor was too small so we yanked it and sold it. While the motor is our we decided to just clean up the bay a bit. So a mild tuck is under way...
Motor showed up a few days later
Welding up the bay
body work in the bay
primered the bay
our to do list
more smoothing
laying down new seam sealer
Pulled the subframe and painted it
laying some base coat in the bay
Bay painted and subframe back in
TIME LAPSE OF THE BAY WORK
http://youtu.be/CnH7HD8CQCQ
Base coat on the body
exterior done
TIME LAPSE OF THE EXTERIOR PAINT
http://youtu.be/94ZTyIaRiOQ
put the dash back in
Started running wiring
MORE sanding lol
What hours of sanding amounts to
Started bolting stuff into the bay
then it resembled a car again
Went shopping at honda for some motor goodies
4pistonsracing overnighted us some parts to make some good power
Got the head back from all motor mike last night
Assembled the valvetrain
Boost Junkyz Dan welded up some AN fittings for the valve cover
Painted it
long block was done
Finished up the wiring
Motor went in
Mock up on the modified rbc intake
all welded up mounting the 90mm q45 throttlebody
mounted
Engine bay all done and threw it on the dyno
Slick setup
ENGINE ASSEMBLY AND DYNO VIDEO

Messed up the bell housing trying to get a defective spec twin disc to fit... Track will just have to wait a week.

Little update. Car went 11.8@ 119 missing second gear. Trans is out again with a chewed up third gear synchro sleeve.
Have a joe McCarthy 9.0 intake manifold we will be dyno testing this week.
