Guate's EG Hatch Build
Whats upr , new to Honda tech been lurking for a while but I recently got a 92 Civic Hatch and decided to make a build tread on to see its progress and stuff car has come a long way compared to how it look.
I got the car back in March of 2012 as a trade for a 96 Civic coupe I had I bought the car just to sell it but I got this car as trade due to my coupe not running so I decided to trade it
Here's the hatch when I traded it, Got to keep my wheels due to fact that body was all beat up lol. I didn't know what I got myself in to lol. My original plan was to put it up for sale and cut my loses because it needed a bit of work but it was running..
My coupe before I traded it in:
But I decided to fix it up and build something nice becuase I was bored of driving my other car lol:
Had this car for 3 years still running strong
First things first was to fix the body this how I got dont know how you this to a car
At least the other side wasn't as bad
Then I sent it out to the body shop and it came back like...
After I got it back from the body shop I started to put my new front end on
After searching on craiglist finally found a carbon fiber duckbill
Now it was time to move to suspension its blown stock front struts and blown rear ebay coilovers lol
I had Tein One Piece super street for 96-00 civic lying around from coupe make good use to them managed to install them all around (also managed to pick up a set of decent si's for cheap as steelies for now lol) end result
After a few days of searching managed to pick up a set of Gold skunk2 rear controls arms and a beaks bar also some gold Password JDM tow hooks lol looking for asr subframe soon..
also got myself some mugen pedals since they had cheap autozones on it
Now it was time to look for some wheels sold my si's in order to get these really like these alot took me a few months to find a actual pair here
They are OG Axis Oldskool 15x8 ET25
I love how these wheels look they have always been my favorite style
and thats how the hatch is sitting right took the wheels off tho no point in having them on since the car s not painted yet car is going to the body shop on tuesday to get the rest of the car done and hopefully I can get it painted soon Thanks for looking

nothing spectacular lol stock ls better than a single cam tho hopefully going b16 or GSR in a few months also forgot to add got a authentic Type R strut bar a few days in the mail just need to find the right bolts to bolt it on but yea its a stock LS all I did is hand polished the valve and its basic tune up has headers intake and 3 inch full exhaust with a rattle hopefully changing that soon to a mugen twin loop

Damn the Celica looks awesome!! O__O
The hatch looks good too!
But imo, before buying new parts, save money and take her for a new fresh paintjob!

Re: Guate's EG Hatch Build
When I saw that first pic, I was like I hope this guy knows that isn't a eg. Nice to see the real eg is getting a second chance. It is coming along nicely.
Not a fan of the Celica though, a little over the top IMO.
