F2B 2000 EJ Hatch Build
Well here we go. To start, I'm new to HT but have been working on Hondas for over a decade. I just bought my 6th one a few weeks ago and figured I'd start a thread to document, also for when I need help from you gurus.
This will be my tenth Honda swap so I do know a thing or two.
Day 1, first ride home
Ill update interior/exterior ect here later
.
.
.
.
The car was from Georgia, and when youre from CT no salt-rust from winters is huge
Not even 3 days after buying the car, the motor threw a rod out of the engine... I would have been mad...
If I didnt already have an F20b waiting to be built

Re: F2B 2000 EK Hatch Build
Hasport knockoff mounts are in.
This is pretty much where I'm at. In order to continue, i need hmotorsonline to send me an f20 headgasket, as well as take the QSD h2b kit out of my eg hatch with the gsr transmission.

Re: F2B 2000 EK Hatch Build
On a side note, once I figure out what I'm going to keep off the d16 (mostly random obd2b sensors ect.) I'll post up what I dont need and I'll part out as much as possible as cheap as possible. I took out everything cleanly and unbroken. Even all of the AC and Power Steering lines came out without being cut.
So far I ordered an obd2 h22 ecu to get it through emissions, along with an obd2b to obd2a conversion harness.
I have a phearable tuned obd1 p72 ecu currently running my h2b EG hatch. I'll use that full time for the f20b after emissions, also an obd2b to obd1 conversion harness on the way.
All of my builds so far were entirely obd1 so I'm figuring out wiring and stuff as I go along but it shouldn't be too hard. I'm hoping my full thermal exhaust off my EG hatch will work on my EK hatch, as well as the shift linkages. I just picked up a brand new wire feed welder and I'm learning quick on it so exhaust shouldn't be too big of a burden.

Re: F2B 2000 EK Hatch Build
Forgot to take pics but I also removed all the tint, HID pnp kit, headlight strobes, then plastic polished the tailights/headlights back to being clear. I also have a walboro fuel pump in my EG thats getting swapped over. Theres definitely way more im forgetting that's already done but I'll get to posting it eventually.

To me, your problem sounds like a classic FITV problem. Have you tried this whole procedure yet?

Re: F2B 2000 EJ Hatch Build
Knee is still killing me so I can't get much done. Few parts came in though
OBD2b to OBD1 conversion harness is in. That ecu is my OBD1 p72 (integra gsr) with an h22 phearble basemap. It has the oem h22a redline, 3400 rpm launch control, o2 sensor delete, speed gov delete, intake manifold butterfly valve delete, and check engine - shift light.
OEM USDM h22a4 OBD2a ecu is in. I'm pretty much only using this to get the car through emissions. I still need to order an OBD2b to OBD2a conversion harness for it, and I may need to bypass an immobilizer if it has one.
Figued I should get a fuel pressure gauge for tuning later.

Going obd1 until its running
Car's filthy for now but at least small work is getting done.
Took out a wink mirror for sun visors. Broadway mirrors ftw

Random swaps from my EG hatch
Valentine1
Tomorrow is the day the valve cover finally gets done up. How it looks right now...
Headgasket is on the way also, I should have some engine build updates when its in towards the end of the week.

Valve cover still needs a few coats but this is where it's at after 3 coats. Probably going to put on a layer of paint with light flake in it
