EKsedan...Finally, a reson to start a build thread! Paint.Full Tuck.
3/12/12
Alright so i finally have a reason to start a build . The morning after IFO we had a thunderstorm. Was on my way to my daughters doctor appointment and some idiot was "texting and driving" and not paying attention. I watch the whole thing in my rear view mirror thinking "this cant be happening". When I could no longer see his headlights I held on and closed my eyes. He rear ended me at about 45mph and pushed me under a '11 Fusion. Well here's some pics of the accident and after I got the car back:
3/17/12
Found a decent 99' sedan with 107,xxx original miles. Its auto but ill be putting my suspension set up and motor in the car.
Car was dropped on Ebay cut springs and was extremely low. The lowest part on the frame sat about 1.5 inches off the ground. Took me about an hour to find a way to put the car on jackstands being that my resources are limited for places to work on the car.
As soon as I got the car on jackstands after unloading it off the trailer, I started pulling the motor and most the stuff out the engine bay.
Pulled all the suspension components except for the LCA's.
Pulled evap system, prop valve, front brake lines...
Started pulling the subframe
Its out...
Future location of the underhood fuse box
carbon fiber vinyl trunk? Im not sure...

Update 3/26/12
Got the subframe pulled apart and started to sand it down for paint.
Got the most of the seam sealer off and started sanding the bay for paint.
Finally a package arrived and I bet you'll never guess what it is.
Started mocking up the lines and fittings.
More updates later!
Its hard to get alot of work done because I work 7-5 monday thru friday and the cars not at my house
Ill get done what I can day by day!
