EG MIKE 's --- EG BUILD THREAD ---- FINALLY ---- 6 years in the making --- CLICK THIS
Okay, I am back and ready to finish this thing! Lemme get some of that motivation from the forum users :goodjob:
Here is the car when I first got it from my friends grandmother:
HAHA a picture of me back in 05 after I lowered it on some skunk2 coil-overs and got some FAT Fives:
Not too long, I blew the head gasket in the stock motor due to the fan relay going out. Here is a picture of me installing my high compression D16z6 that I got help building at a shop I worked at.
Got me some Rota's a:
I came across a GSR engine for sale through a co-worker... I wanted a Type-R, so we took the GSR apart and got it machined and added B16 pistons, skunk2 cams and all OEM gaskets/seals.
While all these modification being made I was actively attending local Auto Cross events:
It was here that I blew up my first engine (melted a rod bearing to the crank shaft). I was racing a local Turner Field event when I got the rod knock . It was time to take it apart and start the build:
Well I cannot find any pictures during the engine bay shaving . Oh well you get the point .
Off to paint @ Superstar Customs !
Getting another fresh layer of primer in the bay:
Finally some color
Interior getting primed:
So Bright! Can't wait to see it in the sun:

Got some parts:
Kics Project R40 Lug Nuts
Innovative Mounts
Grabbing some Pho before heading to Superstar Customs to prep the suspension for paint.
We decided to take out the seat and spare tire brackets. Also repaired a rust spot that showed up from the gloss:
Getting bay prepped for some more paint
Got all the suspension parts cleaned and sanded. Thanks for the help Jay!
