EG coupe first tuck!
Hey all, Just thought I would share my first wire tuck/swap. Been at it for awhile now working on the car in my free time. It's a 93' EG DX that came with a stock d15b7 upon purchase. The original SOHC had a bad head gasket, so I decided to pull it in favor of a b18b1, which lasted about a year of abuse with a turbo kit till it finally died(for now). Picked up a temp. replacement motor. Decided to tuck and paint the bay while I had it out( for the second time ). Never previously done a wire tuck ever so I got my self in over my head, but managed to power through it and this is where I am at so far...

A few pix of after the swap was done the first time, sadly I'm from wisconsin where salt tends to be a problem. Unfortunately it had to get driven through a winter

finally got the motor back in. picked up the skunk2 alpha rad, innovative mounts, tucked clutch line, inline edlebrock fuel filter, and some ebay headers for now. Painted the trans to match the bay.

I figured the green/blue color combo would contrast good, and you can't go wrong with splatter painting either. Also just picked up a new set of front seats for $100, terrible iPod photo quality though lol

Got the passenger side test fitted. Kinda cockeyed to one side cause if the hole alignment but I think I can make some strong brackets to make it sit right.

Also found some pix from spray primer on the valve cover and trans. Also I took some pics of how I mounted my under-hood fuse box into my dash.

I figured for the most part if I was gonna paint it, I mine as well do something different. Mostly painted it to take care of surface rust and the scratches to clean it up. I guess I'm one of those people who like to have stuff that stands out versus the stock paint in the bay. I always get a kick out of painting things ridiculous colors lol.

Suspension/body work is next on the list hopefully. Still need to rehang the exhaust. Sprayed it to help prevent future rusting. Ordered a test pipe, new o2 sensor, and a radiator fan as well. Waiting in snow to melt right now. 👎
