Re: DCiFound...for me :)
It was raining and I had the blues. So I decided to remove more of my interior. Going LEDs
The 2nd pic has a plug circled. That was a muttaphuking Pain In The @$$!!! I swore it was going to break. Glad it didn't, and this will be my only and last time pulling the HVAC unit out(knock on wood)
Now its put back together
This was the OEM colored bulbs
Cool White LEDs
OEM
Bllue LEDs It does suck that the blue light doesn't penetrate through the red heat marking or amber defrost symbols
Another shot at dusk

Re: DCiFound...for me :)
I have a list. Just not on me at the moment. So far, changing the head unit to a Double Din with Nav and installing blue footwell LEDs that turns on/off with the door.
I do have a write up on the tail mod and footwell mod. Is there a DIY on here for it? If not, I will copy paste it on HT if its ok and there isn't one already. Which I don't think there is, cus I googled forever for both mods and never really found anything for them

Re: DCiFound...for me :)
A few weeks back, a group of guys and I went on a cruise. At one of the pit stops, one of the guys noticed that I was leaking water. He asked if my AC was on. I told him no and saw a puddle on the ground. I was like...WTF!!! I popped the hood and another guy saw water on my underbody plastic panel that covers the bottom of the rad. It wasn't much and I had water in the res, we just kept on driving.
So, this is what I did today....after working on the car, checking the rad and changing the oil. I found good news and bad news.
Good News...I don't need a new rad, but I do need to replace the bottom hose. It seems to be a cheapo hose and its leaking at the mouth where it connects to the rad. I push and pull on the opening and see water, but its not pouring out. When I do my rad flush, I will be fixing it
Bad News...Now, when I checked my oil yesterday and noticed that I was very low on oil. I haven't seen any leaks on the ground, or the top part of the motor. So I thought, great im burning oil and it must be the rings or something. When I jacked the car up and noticed that my oil pan was smeared in oil. I thought it might have been the drain plug. It wasn't, cus its coming from my oil pan gasket GRRR!!!
Another Bad News...As I skimmed under the car and noticed that there is a rubber boot. It looks similar to the axle boot, but its behind the front sway bar and connects to my suspension. Does anyone know what that is? Its got grease coming out and the boot was pulled off from where it was supposed to sit. I pushed it back but doubt that I fixed it. I might need to replace the CV boot as well, since I noticed there is some cracking in the seems. Im going to get my car looked at by my mechanic. Will be making a list of problems that needs to be attended to.
Well, in the long run, im saving money on the rad issue. And I get to buy a new clutch kit instead. Im starting to get annoyed by the bearing squeeking, and it seems to be getting louder. Or maybe its just me subconsciously saying, get that shyt fixed...NOW!!! lol Of course, im hoping its the TOB and not the ISB "fingers crossed"

Re: DCiFound...for me :)
another update,
So far, my oil isnt leaking. The previous owner didnt screw the oil filter on tight enough. That part is a relief off my back. However, i found out that Vtec burns a little oil. Which isnt a big deal, yet lol. About the clutch bearing noise, its my TOB
I did order a new Mishimoto performance aluminum rad, slim fan and Samco hoses. Will be doing the flush and swap this week sometime. Also, will be removing the AC stuff since its overrated. And before i do that, i will be spoiling myself with it. Might as well use it, while i have it.
A month ago, I went to an AutoX event. Met up with old buddies there. We chatted about AutoX and what classes had what regulations. Some how, between the chat and when the race started. I found myself in a passenger seat of a late 80s civic coupe. This class was the STC(the one i will be entering my car in), so all interior still had to stay and no internal mods on the motor. So it was pushing a whopping 104hp stock. It didn't launch at all, but a tiny baby bird chirping from the tires. Next thing I new, I was holding onto the racing seat for dear life. The car corners like it was on rails with g forces pushing me side to side. At the finish, I had a grin on my face. I realized, all I had to do was get stiff suspension and grippy tires and would be set for a cone race. Much cheaper than going boost. Straight line racers are for pussies, who have to much monies
No pics of the new parts yet, but here are some pics i took cus i have no life lol

Re: DCiFound...for me :)
Went to an AutoX event today. This was my first time racing in AutoX. I got sunburnt for standing in the sun for 6hrs without sunscreen :smokin::
This was the 89 civic that got me hooked. The car drives like a go kart, not to mention that the driver knows what he's doing
And yes, this is a Tesla

Re: DCiFound...for me :)
I did a little engine bay cleaning. It was dirty and I decided that I wanted to clean it up a little. I used GUNK engine degreaser and a couple brushes to help.
How it looked
Now the prep
I put the spark plug cover on after I cover the wires. I didn't want to risk having water going where it didn't need to. Plus, I didn't have an air compressor to blow the water out the holes. It worked like a charm :D
What I used and how it looks afterwards
