The Unveiling of my project begins today. It started as a quick DIY daily, consumed by love for eg’s It quickly became my secret project! But I can’t hold it no more, my everything is busting at the seams with excitement. This is going to be my daily until I can finish my EM1 just the way I want it. So let’s begin.
It started out as a shell I found while enrolled at UTI 06’. Come to find out when I went to pick it up, it was a high school buddy of my brother selling it. Yeah I got a Kick *** deal! The only problem was it needed a radiator support. To the bare naked eye. So I went out & got a radiator support and had his next door neighbor fix it, as he claimed he could . After the support was on I took it to a buddies house, got rid of that old CX power plant and dropped in a d15b.
Damaged goods (running cx engine)
D15b installed
The car ran but never straight the front end was repaired wrong and the frame looked like this. ( ) Two mechanics and still no fix later I decided to chop this beeyoatch. I had found a RHD clip conversion complete with doors, panels, power windows, a/c lines, windshield (which cracked do to a speedbump)for 250.00 from a shop called AO
Here it was waiting to be converted the first time at a co-workers house….BAD MOVE!!!
Supposedly the clip was cut while he was at work, buy a crack head whom repaired another persons car.
(he did have a police report ) BURN!!! So I moved my car home, & went sourcing for another clip in my price range. And a known good RHD Converter/welder. Months pass me by.
Finally I locate a longtime friend, and a relative of an X-Assoc. He agrees to do the conversion. A price I could not refuse. ( my selling point a glass top ef8 conversion that rolled on a highway, still intact til’ this day.) The search for another clip intensifies. Here’s the car on its way to him. Mid -2007
While awaiting my car to comeback the family and I move, into a House. YES! Then The beast returns. Cheap but detailed shots. Body condition, conversion style, layered panels. etc

A few more shots of the body
Tried to do a lil bodywork myself that didn't go so well
Screw I'll clean the engine bay
We'll if you read the above you already know my hatch is a CX converted. So I took a 45min drive down to JPR in south el monte to pick up my rear disc setup and a few other goodies. Of course some parts needed a good touch up. These parts will all be re-done thanx to the paint shop. But it's ok I can do them cleaner now.
I also outfitted the car w/ DC2 HKS Hypermax II (jpr) requiring the use of DC2-r LCA's also sourced at JPR.
Re-coted fork & susp. assembled
I also stopped by 88 rotors & picked up front & rear kit w/ pads. To accent the braking system I painted the calipers gold. (inspired by mugen calipers)
Rear disc conv installed w/ susp
Front installed
w/susp.
Wheel pic teaser
A random pic my daughter took w/ her digi cam (age 4) of daddy workin.

correct me if im wrong but I would assume that car would fold up like a tin can in a wreck now. Is there going to be a cage going in to strengthen up the unibody?

Re: (hondazcivix)
i hope you're not planning on driving this thing around? why not just start with a new chassis/car, if the frame was bent and do a firewall conversion? i'm just saying since it seems like money isn't a issue here, and you're going all out on the build. g/l anyhow.
