stock b18c5 and a stroked b18c5 power difference?
this maybe a dumb question but would be the power difference between a b18c5 and a stroked b18c5? how many cc do i gain? and is it worth it for a turbo motor build?

well... yeah
a lot of b16's make upwards of 230 whp on stock 1595cc trim
sorry but its quite obvious that yeah...

Well it is, I mean what else are you going to do with it, just stroke it to a 2.0, why not just bore it to 84mm it would be easier, and you would have a better ratio. Stroking a c5 to around 97mm which is what you would need to get that displacement is, well stupid.

You really can't tell, I mean if you were really going to stroke a stock motor to 97mm it wouldn't really be stock, and other than gaining some low end torque you really wouldn't benifit from it because you would lose all of your top end.

serisously, i dont think you realize, thats not a simple question, and its not something most people do, most people bore there motor out to a 2.0 by going to 84mm, but anybody who has done that also has cams, intake, exhuast, header, ems, injectors, etc... boring or stroking a stock motor and leaving all other parts stock just isent normal, thast why nobody is really able to answer your question.
and in regards to the GT40 motor there are a million variables but increased spool up would be your main benefit imo.

Re: (gibsanez)
depending on the bore or stroke of the stroked motor you will alter the power band of hp and tq. if you want to know the power gain, there is a program called desktop dyno were you build and modify engine's which can tell you a very close range of what you would gain by doing so. you need to be very accurate, and you need to know alot of the motors specs on the build your going to test though. YES I KNOW THE TOP SAYS KAY JEWELERS, some how it caught the tv as well when i took the picture. this is an example of the programs view of the power graph as well as some the specs. on the left. example of a mild stroked 2.0 honda
