Simple NA Setup With 1/4 Times
So I finally got some times for my RSX-S on Drag Radials at MIR's second T&t. My previous best were 13.50s and 13.60s on Drag Radials last season. I think i could have gone a little faster as the car came out of alignment on the first run and there was a very strong crosswinds that day that everyone was fighting, Other than that it was a nice day and not very crowded, got 10 plus runs in!
My setup is just Injen Cai, OBX Header, Kpro Street tuned on a completely stock long block K20Z1 in a 05 Rsx-S. I was running 205/50R15 MT Drag Radials set to 17 psi. Also worth noting, i took the pressure up to 26 psi and set my best Mph at MIR and went 13.6 @ 106.90 Mph w/ a 2.5 60'. Looking to do Cams and larger injectors/retune before i go back. Here is a break down of my 4 best runs:
60'...2.100
1/8...8.621 @ 83.74
1/4...13.316 @ 105.05
60'...2.115
1/8...8.652 @ 83.70
1/4...13.336 @ 105.38
60'... 2.126
1/8...8.659 @ 83.77
1/4...13.351 @ 105.08
60'...2.177
1/8...8.698 @ 83.90
1/4...13.380 @ 105.38

Pretty damn impressive for a basically stock car. What kind of weight reduction if any?
Drop those 60's and you have 12's w/o touching the head.

Thanks! It's pretty close to stock except for the I/H and a clutch. As far as weight reduction goes, the back seats and front passenger seat were removed, and tools/spare. I dont think i'll get a much better 60' on drag radials, maybe a 2.00x which would yield a 13.1-13.2 ET. The goal is to go back on 23 in slicks when i have just a little more power and go for midish 12s.

23" slicks huh? I'm not too familiar w/ K-series gearing and all that. I know my B-series on 23" slicks NA was a dog out of the hole. It was just a 1.8 w/ 87mm stroke though. Sounds like you have some fun in the future planned. GL brother.

Re: Simple NA Setup With 1/4 Times
Thanks man! And Yep, if I had an A2 trans with the 4.38 FD 22 inch slicks would be my best bet. I have the Z1 trans in my car as its an 05 MY and that trans has a 4.764 FD so 23 inch slicks work best for me. On 22s I would have to shift into 5 before I crossed the finish line in the 1/4. Really enjoying this K series motor! Just goes to show what a stock K series is capable of even in a 2700+ pound chassis!
