Default RS Machines 84mm ITR style piston specs wanted

First of all let's get this out of the way, Yes I did search and I also did im rsmachines with no response.

I am considering oredring theese pistons for a mild b20vtec build, I simply would like to know the specs on them. I need to know dome(cc) and compression height.

Has anybody done some measurment's on theese ?

Thanks.

I would assume that a "84mm ITR piston" is just that, a 84mm ITR piston.

Compression height and dome volume are the same as the OEM ITR piston.

Last I heard from RS they are supposed to be 1.7cc with a 30mm compression height. I really don't like the lack of information on the piston, my guess is RS does not have a real answer.
I could be wrong.

I'm doubting that due the what rs has as the listed compression ratio using a pr3 head(11.8-1)

Assuming an unmilled head or block Itr spec pistons in 84mm bore with a 42.7cc pr3 head come in at nowhere near that.

USDM ITR specs(84mm

30.23mm compression height, 3.64cc dome... 12.4-1

JDM ITR specs(84mm

30.23mm compression height, 5.96cc dome....13.04-1

Now as natural aspirations stated seems about right

30.00mm compression height, 1.7cc dome..11.58-1.

Just for fun I used the 1.7cc dome with a compression height of standard ITR 30.23mm...11.91-1

Does anybody else have any fact to input to this... I personally won't buy the pistons unless I can get factual information as to what I am working with.

Call Safety, they are the company in which RS goes through for their pistons, which are all made over in taiwan by Right Way.

Safety will have all and every spec youd need.

Although I appreciate the input, that's not exactly the response I am looking for.

Would love to have rs chime in or another source that has found this information themselves.

lol read more carefully

The 84-85mm are the B20B/Z spec pistons.

The B16,CTR, and ITR spec pistons only range from .000-.040 over. Or 81mm-82mm. I know it says .20-.40 but I'm pretty sure thats a typo because .40" = 10.16mm and I know those aren't 91mm pistons lol

The Safety catalog has a complete listing of compression heights, dome volumes, etc. Call Safety and order a catalog.

They are listed as b20b/z because of the 84-85mm bores for the b20 engines. Take a look through rsmachines ebay store they call/list them as an "itr style" piston for the b20b/z, IF you cared to look above at the compression figures I calculated you would have realized that I know they are not to itr specs in an 84mm bore as that would leave a person with 12.5-1 plus.

They have vtec sized valve reliefs and are listed at 11.8-1 compression using a pr3 head, They are NOT b20b/z pistons . I'm well aware they are not itr spec pistons in 84-85mm bores but that is what they are commonly reffered to as.

so read the whole post next time and if you have something worthwhile to contribute I'd love to hear it.

Oh and hardt, I called safety and I had no better results than 1 2 NV, I will call back and order a cataloug as per your advice though, see where that leaves me.

Thanks for your help
