question about PMS pistons (GX pistons)
in reference to my d16y5 build up https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1414454
While I'm getting ready to enjoy the d16y5 cylinder head on my d15b7 block, I have acquired a d16a6 block to rebuild.
I plan on going all motor, mainly because i have read that it's more efficient. Besides, I don't plan on going FI, so if I can order different pistons to increase overall efficieny (mpg and tq) then i might as well.
According to http://www.zealautowerks.com/dseries.html the gx pistons have a comp height of 27mm where as the d16a6 has a comp height of 29.5 This site's calculator is the only site that I've seen "comp height" on. Because of this, it calculates that my setup would be 9.57:1cr But on other calculators, that don't have the 27mm comp height, it calculates somewhere near 12:1cr.
I am aiming for 11.5-12.0cr. I have read somewhere that the GX piston uses a 23mm wrist pin, which means that i could run the b18b rods w/o having to worry about modifying them so that I could use the 21mm wrist pin d15/d16 pistons.
Does anyone have any experience in running these pistons?

There are two years of GX pistons; the 98-00 Is the one with the 21mm wristpin;PDN.
The PMS is the 01-03 GX Piston and has a 19mm wristpin; this piston has less compression(less dome cc) than the PDN piston btw.

Re: (K2e2vin)
