All I heard is that they flow better.

Hum.. It seems like it would be the same cast, it seems like more of a traditional head as the R for building. Im not sure that's why i posted this.

The IM and head flows better on the B16 then the B18C1. The B16 head is NOT the same as the ITR's B18C5 head. The B18C1 has a rectangular combustion chamber VS the oval shaped B16's, so it will allow for high compression.
Id get a B18C1 head an add a PnP + valve job and be done with it. I used a B16 head in my build because I already owned it.

I'd say if you're looking to have it port & polished, go for the B16a2 heads since they seem to go for a bit cheaper. I didn't want to spend the money for the P&P so I just went with a used R head... I think it's a nice upgrade with the factory port & polish. Also went with it because I was planning on using the AEBS intake manifold... but AEBS has one out for the GSR head now.

Well here is my situation, I have Complete running gsr in my hatch. Have a b16 head laying around and I was interested in replacement for one reason the itb's I plan to get fit only this head and type r head. It just didn't seem worth the swap so I was trying to get insite from you guys to help make my decision. Both heads are perfect cond.

You should send out the b16 for a good v-job from rlz, Rm, Headgames, endyn , portflow, alaniz.. You get the idea, not a local Joe blow shop. Have them do a pocket port like an itr head..
I suggest this because you wont have any down time and the b16 head is more responsive to mild work than the gsr will be.. The vjob and pocket job will probably be less than 600 dollars.. Once you swap on the b16 head you can sell the gsr one to cover the money invested in the b16 head. It then ends up costing 200 out of pocket not including labor and a few gaskets.
