Assistance Please: No VTEC engagement - intermittent problem - Code 21 & 22
I've been having an issue for probably 3 weeks now..
The setup: 1994 Integra RS, 2000 JDM ITR swap, Chipped p28 ecu
My car developed an issue on the 18th at my first HPDE.. I was having issues with VTEC not wanting to engage on my first session. I pitted and checked all my connections and the pins at the ecu connectors. My CEL came on and it was code 21.
CEL 21: VTEC SOLENOID VALVE
Again, I checked all my connections assuming it was my ground coming off the pressure switch, I grounded it at another place and I thought my problem was fixed..
Went out next session and it worked perfect. Session over the car sat for 20-30 minutes or so and I get back out on the track and in the middle of 3rd gear WOT the CEL came back on again. Same code, no VTEC.. Tracking my car with no vtec and 6800 rev limit FTL.
I couldn't figure out the issue so i said screw it and just continued on and finished thru out the day. Reset the ECU and on the fourth session the light didn't come on for 2-3 laps then popped on.. I cycled the ignition off/on and CEL gone. It didn't give me any issues for the rest of the day.
Tonight out driving, I engaged vtec.. Hit 3rd gear CEL pops on for the first time in 3 weeks.
I get home and pull the codes. CEL 21 & 22
Checked my wiring and everything still looks fine.
Searching i've read that it could actually be something in the ecu it's self, Seeing as how i don't know much about the p28 i'm running (who chipped it, etc)
I wonder if this is a possibility? Is there something I can look for?
Any help is appreciated

i had almost the exact same problem with my car. problem was the ecu looking for the vtec oil pressure switch, and my motor doesn't have one. so i bypassed it and had no problems after that.
