No heat after cooling system flush
2004 Honda Civic 4dr EX
high mileage
Couldn't find this topic.
Looks like the heat exchanger has an air lock. Flushed cooling system. Drained radiator. Removed big plug on the engine. Removed thermostat. Flushed with water. Replaced w/ new thermostat. Put plug back. Tightened drain plug on radiator. Filled with coolant. Ran engine until hot, adding coolant as needed. Replaced radiator cap (new). Filled overflow resevoir to correct level. Engine doesn't overheat. Does not leak coolant. Almost no heat in cabin. Now that the weather is getting warm, I decided to fix it.
Thanks for you help.

Re: No heat after cooling system flush
Engine itself comes up to proper temperature.
Temp gauge reads normal.
When you turn the heater/defroster on inside the car it blows cold.
This is still happening after several months of 80+ miles per day highway driving.
