Locking vtec for cam degree??

Default Locking vtec for cam degree??

I've looked around to see the article for step by step degreeing but I cant find it. Does anyone know how to lock the vtec to do cam degree in the car with the head on? The tool that honda has is back order and not available. Any input please?? for b series engine

You can either lock with air pressure. There is a port that is sealed with a 10mm bolt on the exh side of the head speficially for this.

OR

Slide the rocker shafts out just enough to take apart the rocker arms from one cylinder, both I & E. Take the 3 arms apart and pull the "piston" out of the small arm with a magnet. Put a small washer or "bb" in there so that when you put the piston back in, it is sticking out a little bit and not flush with the piston. When you put the 3 arms back together, you will have to squeeze them a bit, this is the VTEC pins being locked together. Install them back in the head and give it a go.

Air Pressure did not work for me, too much leak-by or POS compressor. The BB method worked great for me
