k20 N/A ????

Default k20 N/A ????

I have an ep3 and from what i seen from all the ep3 tuners and including rsx's. I havent really seen much N/A K20's. Most of the time its boost tuned. Is hard to N/A them k20a's ??? I noe boost gives it pretty much good hp and torque but i was wondering how fast can our k20a's goes.

K20 motors make very nice power N/A
I have seen a few with IPS cams put down some impressive numbers, and the Type-R cams are no slouch. These cars were tuned with K-Pro.

i havent seen much power coming out the A3 as i seen with the A2....best bet with the k-series is to start off with the type s motor.

This motor has high compression but for the street 280-290 is very feasible. This motor also has a stock head no porting or valve job. The two different graphs are two different headers

I have an EP3 with stock k20a. It runs 12.9 all motor.

i assume u have the A3, i would recommend either swapping for the A2 and go all motor or boost A3. A2 A3

which headers were used in the dyno comparision? Those are some nice gains from just a header

thats what i wana noe and the mods. Iam not sure if thats an a3 engine ? never seen that much power. its shocking hahaha

Are you kidding, the K-series pretty much set the new standard for all-motor power among all engines. I don't think there is a single street engine out there by any manufacturer right now that is producing the NA power the K's are.

Oops, I forgot to mention that its a k24. That motor is a K24 block with the stock 99mm crank , custom Inlinepro rods, 90mm wiseco pistons, stock k20a type r head(no port work or valvejob) Crower 3 cams, Inlinepro springs and retainers, and ITB's. The two headers in the post are a DC sports tsx header and a 4 to 1 1 7/8 to 2 to 2 1/8 header we built at the shop. I am actually doing testing with cams for the stock k20a3 which I will posting dyno #'s at the end of this week. The k20 motors have great potential and I am working on a bunch of motor projects that I will be posting pics and dyno's in the near future. If you have any questions about trying to get horsepower out of these motors N/a let me know and I can give you some suggestions.

WTF? Thats like saying dont mod a b16. Maybe it doesnt have as much power as a a or a2 but that doesnt mean that it wont see better numbers than a b-series.

come on, do u honestly think its worth paying about like 7 large for an A3 thats gonna put same power as b20 vtec? or ls vtec or gsr or any built b series? it would probably make decent power but id honestly either save for an a or a2 or jus put a bseries in the car. wouldnt u agree? if u dont u need to see a psychiatrist

seeing how its an EP3 and he already has the A3, might as well work with what you have then spend 6g's just to swap in an A2

thats a nice chart inlinepro.....good for no porting....does that dyno ready any higher than most...those numbers look a bit high, but i could just be jealous...lol

i jus realized this motor is in a ep chassis already. so a swap wouldnt be so expensive. im sure that eventually there will be decent power out of a3's but if u ask me 180whp in an ep chassis isnt going anywhere to quick. thats why i recommend the a2 swap or boost the a3.

hey how much did u get the engine for ?? how much was it for everything including labor and all that. And what mods do u have to it ??
