Yeah, theirs absolutely nothing he can do to make up the time lost, unless he gives a complete refund, along with a complete engine.
I would definitely care about how clean the environment is where the engine will be assembled. I was taught that when assembling an engine my work counter/desk should be as clean as a surgeons table. Maybe everyones not that **** about it but they should be. I'am and would especially if I was paying someone to do a job right.

Guys, all these personal attacks are just diverting attention away from the intended purpose of this thread. In a sense, we all live in glass houses and shouldn't throw stones. VtecKiDD is sticking up for Don and that's his right but bringing his business strategies into this accomplishes nothing as it's a completely seperate issue and should be left out of this thread. In a sense, I can respect where What. is coming from as he obviously doesn't beat around the bush but I don't believe this thread was intended to be an outlet for a personal vendetta either, if you can call it that. I too, have had bad business dealings with Don but I have chosen to keep my situation out of this thread so it does not take away from 4g's situation. All I have done is called for some accountability from Don to his customers and that's what this thread should remain about.
He still has not heard anything from Don, no contact and has not received anything as of yet.

Considering Skunk2 goes to Don for their validation work and independent testing, I'll take his advice (and have) over pretty much anyone else. Not to mention his 25+ years of racing and engine development specific to Hondas.
He may have neglected a few customers over the years, and that certainly is not a good thing. I hope the situation gets resolved. I've done business with Don a couple times, and he was sometimes difficult to get in touch with, sometimes he would call twice a day. In the end I was happy though, and it is unfortunate to see others that are on the 'other side of the street' so to speak.
For all we know, he has been in the hospital for the last few weeks and does not have access to the internet or regular communication with anyone other than "people in the know". Just speculation, but certainly a possible situation that could explain him dropping off the face of the earth over the last month. Pretty sure his IP is banned from Honda-Tech also, Internet Brands did not like him promoting other Honda enthusiest messsage boards.
Hopefully whatever is preventing Don from working right now is not a serious injury or illness.
It seems like a bunch of people are jumping to conclusions without really knowing the full story.

The only evidence I have to support that claim is that when you 'advanced search' by username, it auto-fills for matching active users. His name does not populate that list when you type 'don'. I experimented with other usernames that I know are banned (like Rocket 'master of the universe'), and the same happened.
Again, no way to know for sure, but it looks to be the case.
