i have done research, and seriously thats not what i am asking i am asking if anyone has turned a ls block into a 2.0l and if it worked out or blew up. in all the threads i found on this the only response was no because the sleeves would be to weak.

Aftermarket sleeves to weak at 2.0? Sounds like you really need to do more research.

so how have you not come across the fact that resleeving would be required?

Go ahead! With a set of Darton M.I.D sleeves you can bore it out to 85mm N/A no problem.

X2 lol.. I doubt he researched anything cuz if he did he'd know that when you resleeve you usually always go to a 2.0

jesus christ, what a mess of a thread. No, you cannot bore the b18b/a to the size of a b20 (84mm), that puts you way outside of the service limit for bore because you take too much away from the cast iron liner in the sleeve. Best way to get 2.0 is to either get a b20 block or have your b18 sleeved to 84mm. Options include darton, benson, la sleeves, ge, rsmachines, etc. RSmachines and LA sleeves might be on the cheaper side compared to darton and benson in terms of price and still be able to handle anything you can throw at it.

Is anyone actually reading the OPs original post? He said that he knows the block will have to be sleeved..... he is looking for any thoughts from people with experience sleeving a B18...... What's so F#@king hard to understand here? I don't see the need for all the BS about boring the stock block.

I read it correctly. And still don't get the question. He wants a 2.0 he has to sleeve it /thread. What does he need to know about sleeves? Their stronger then OEM

Do you have sleeves?

He was asking about personal experiences, Pros and Cons I would assume. What sleeves to run, who to have install them? That kind of stuff..... In the time you spent telling him to do research, you could have given him some actual information or at least a link maybe.

Typical H-T..... Have you tried the search function on this forum.... Most times if it can't find anything in the first second it gives you the days posts. Then 9 times out of 10 they don't even relate to what you were searching for.....

Cheers

Yet you keep posting and not giving him any info. To OP, sleeve it. Id get it done by GE, look into them.

As for searching Google it works completely fine . Like I said he needs to research not be spoon fed, his question is pretty vauge and doesn't really seem to know what he's asking. Google will tell him everything he needs to know

All it took was 19 words and I didn't spoon feed him. I gave him an option that he could go research if he wanted..... They are the sleeves that I am using and I think they are great product with excellent customer service. What more needed to be said?

Cheers

And I was just saying he should've researched from the beggining. It's not hard to find out what sleeves are good when there's only a couple different companies to choose from
