is this the first time firign it up? Who built it? Were the piston rings set properly, could be that you are still seating everything and it may stop.

Do a compression and leakdown test. Then tune it with a wideband on a dyno.

That's what probably started the problem.

it would also help if you listed your setup. are you in that big of a hurry to type this **** up.
i picture like a dude starting his car up infront of his house...it starts smoking....he leaves the car running and runs like a bat outta hell into the house...posts a new topic on honda-tech titled "omfg my car is smoking!!! help!!" and you run back outside..doing circles around the car while pulling on your hair...

stock ecu on 13.1 cr motor? the smoke is more then likely blueish..you might think its oil.. but its really your **** running lean as expletive.. when i slapped my itbs on and tried starting it up for ***** on my current tune, when i had a manifold, it idled like poo..and it blew blue smoke out the butt..hooked a wideband up..i was 20AFR..lean buddy~~~~ of course the car wasn't wrong for longer then 30 seconds..but still yoru running entirely too lean..dont start your car..or u'll be rebuilding it again.

Re: built motor smoking (FUCATYPR)
if your running stock ecu, and injectors i'm pretty sure you're running stock fuel pump. 13:1 requires at least 370cc and a fuel pump and some tuning.

who told u that joke? if he's fuel pump is healthy i dont think he will never max it... i have used stock fuel pumps up to 280 whp turbo... dont think he will make more than that...
tune the engine at least for idle and part throttle driving, then u'll know for sure if its mechanical or a tuning problem...

Re: built motor smoking (chris_tune)
how high are you revving and what size injectors? most 13:1 peeps rev their **** to 9200.
i had a stock FP on 370cc and @ 7800rpms the pump couldn't handle anymore, had to switch it out to a 255lph walbro.
