eg coupe b18 swap, PCV valve discconnected
Bought a 95 civic that was swapped with a freshly rebuilt (about 10k now, with receipts for everything) ls b18a1 engine, its from a 92-93 da integra. Bought it for 1000 off a friend.
engine is solid and runs good, bouncy idle at start up (bounces from 1.2k to 1.6k) then idles at 900 when warm. When i was searching for vacuum leaks i found that the pcv valve had no hose connected to it, then on the breather box there is an open spot. I wasnt sure if my pcv system was even set up correctly, when i was looking for a diagram from the system i couldnt find one specific to my year engine. All the diagrams that i found had the pcv valve connected to the intake manifold, there isnt a spot for anything to be connected on mine.
i just want to make sure that im not going to hook the system up wrong and damage the engine.
it burns oil in the top end (above 5k) and smokes quite a bit. The previous owner did not treat the car well and beat on it... i dont know weather to replace the valve seals or the piston rings
