Default Camshaft - Flat Tappet

For those who are curious this is a pic of a "Super Buggy Turbo" cam I did for a buddy for his air-cooled VW.

Specs are

244 duration @ 0.050 (similiar to Type R)
0.430" Lift (10.9mm) Valve Lift (similiar to TypeR)
111 Lobe Centers (for increased mid-range and better idle - remember no-vtec on air-cooled VW. For NA we would do 107 Lobe Centers).

FYI this type of profile also works on shim on bucket type lifters found on Cosworth and Toyota 4AGE.

No, does not come with lifters. I reccommend hardened aftermarket lifters (new) to mate with this cam core.

Now only if you could make me some 8620 IPS K10's we'd be talking.

I've already have a re-grind program that transforms RSX cams into JDM RSX TypeR+ with minimal reduction in base circle. Gonna see how this works out. I'll post pics and specs once testing is done.

yes yes, i think thats proper whn upgrading cams in those engines, i just asked cuz i thought the lifters come with it.. i know some prefer to get the lifters from the cam manufacture/designer too..

new lifters ftw, but not new shitty lifters lol

It depends on the cam core. Two scenarios

1. Softer Aftermarket Core + Harder Aftermarket Lifters. The lifters work harden the cam.

2. OE Cam (induction hardened) + Softer OE (OE style) Lifters. The cam work hardens the lifters.

There's a lil more to cams than just picking Stage 2 vs. Stag 3.
