Default blox velocity stack vs. bpi velocity stack

I just was looking at a blox version of the bpi stack and was wondering if it is the same?
It looks the exact same and comes with a filter to match it. Does anyone else have the blox peice?

Support the community and yourself, get the BPI stack.

Bryan showed how to engineer a v-stack on HT 1.5 years ago. Blox copied his design. Help him to stay in business.

x1000. the only issue though is, Bryan's canadian supplier is a waste. he never answers emails or return phone calls. i've used 3 Bpi stacks since they were designed. but, i'm having a hard time finding one, whereas the blox is everywhere, unfortunately Bpi will end up losing money becasue some of his suppliers are incompitent. i also pm'd Bpi on here a few days ago, but i have not received a reply yet. its sad how manufacturers copy designs, but its even worse when the original designer has horrible respresentitives pushing his product

It's an exact copy, local has a BPI I have a blox, can't really tell.

Let's not get into the who you back as it really doesn't matter as far as the part itself if you want to support someone that's fine, you can try to argue why or why not it's right but it doesn't make the blox any worse a clone when it's just a clone.

You're right. When I contacted his Canadian supplier, the price he quoted me was more than it cost me to buy it out of the states direct from bpi and have it shipped here. So, I bought it direct from Brian and he answers his emails at bpi but he's rarely on here so he's not quick with the pm's.

FWIW I'm sure you can run a K&N on the blox part. I've yet to try it but I don't see why it wouldn't if the blox filter is not up to par with a K&N.

Oh dear god here we go!

Ok let me try another method of example ok?

BPI a grass roots company if you will have set the standard and done the home work for the product a IMO much larger company such as blox has then gone in and done what large corporations do best “undercut”

Copy from the smaller/middle man and further maximize profit with cheaper counter fit product namely the filter

My point was not whether it will fit namely the filter in this case but rather if nothing else the morality and ego of blox to rip and undercut if you will!

It has been side before that blox produces nothing new and No R&D goes into there work the import scene IMO needs innovative people willing and wanting to produce and research new items IF that is not important too you then please GO out and cheap out buy the blox product be my guessed and then see the further detitration of this sport!

I don't really give a crap about the drama of it I'm simply asking AM I WRONG IN MY TESTING THAT IT'S AN EXACT COPY?

Do you need a ladder to stop swinging from BPIs nuts?

If you want to support BPI or blox that's on you, I just asked simply was I correct it's a damned carbon copy?

If you want to change the topic go ahead make it else where, I'm not going to get into a pissing match about ethics copyrights R&D yada yada *frankly working in small corps and having an econ degree I could bury you if I wanted *

I believe Brain is working on making a 3" intake that will come in a total kit package with the velocity stack and the filter.

Hasn't the velocity stack been around for ever? I remember watching BOTI videos from back in the day and seen racers running stacks back then.

Not trying to add fuel to th flame. Just saying.

I know that circuithero does/did make one as well.

this question is a little off topic, but for those you guys using the v-stack and filter combo, are any of you using it on a cai? does it fit down there because i know the filter element is a little bigger than your typical filter.

yes I run it on my cai and you have to use a filter that isn't as tall. I got the part number off of BPI's website.

Rollo, HT took on new management several weeks ago, and without warning or notice my account was banned. It appears the only way to reactivate my old account is to sign a 12 month ad compaign which is many times more expensive that before and thus cannot be justified with our small business. I apologize we have not been able to contact you, but it seems our old account is dead.

To my knowledge, the Blox is geometrically nearly identical to the BPI short of the embossed logo. What is unknown is the material. I am sure the Blox is of a suitable material, but unknown none-the-less. BPI is a 15% glass-filled Nylon. The glass-fill gives the part strength. The Nylon is very resistant to your engine by fluids, etc, so you should not have to be concerned with the deterioration of the material.
