Set things off I did all the searching i could from Honda-tech to Google. I'm still confused about this whole Ecu situation and its making me . Since I'm building a b20/vtec I know there are going to be different plugs this is where its giving me a headache. I have looked and searched online and came across some products That i thought would help the situation:

My first find was a OBD2 to OBD1 Conversion harness:

I this the easiest way to go, from this harness what will i need. ( I also heard obd2 ecu are really not that great for tunning correct me if I'm wrong) Or am i better off just buying a new ECU (obd1 gsr harness)

for the wiring you will need an obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper as well as an obd1 ecu either a p28 or a converted p06, because as you stated obd1 ecu's are much easier to tune. You will also need to either add the vtec wiring or get a subharness.

if you don't want a jumper harness, you can get a jdm p73 or pct ecu (itr/ctr) which have obd2 plugs, but don't need the typical obd2 secondary crank angle senor or second o2 sensor. but you will still have to add your vtec and knock wiring to your engine harness. but thats really easy also

Your best bet is going to be to use an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness which is a plug & play device along with a chipped obd1 vtec ecu mapped for your b20/vtec setup.
