B18c timing not aligning???
Cam marks aligned in cam lock. I have #1cyl tdc, put timing belt on, took cam lock out. turned COUNTER CLOCKWISE 3 teeth. Tighten tensioner. Belt is perfect tight. Cranked back 3 teeth clockwise back into tdc, and the cam tdc marks are hella off aligned... The exhaust cam is on tdc but the intake cam mark is off about two teeth..so confused... If the belt is pulling all the gears how the hell are they not lining up?????

Re: B18c timing not aligning???
The belt was jumping teeth. I just did the counter clockwise rotation, tightened adjusting bolt, turned the crankshaft full revolution till the cam gears lined up tdc and the belt is still a little sloppy now.

Put the extra slack on the tensioner side, loosen tge tensioner, rotate 3 teeth again and while still applying some torque to the crank, tighten the tensioner. The key is to keep a slight torque counter clockwise as you tighten the tensioner to make sure the slack is being pulled out
