AXLE WONT COME OUT OF TRANNY..... ANY SUGGESTIONS?
i took my control arms out and pulled it out of the rotor side, but for some reason the axle wont come out of the tranny, been trying to almost 2 hours now, tried everything i can think of....... i got it out of the driver side/intermediate shaft side, but the other axle is stuck.... oh and i have LSD if it makes a difference

If you have a big prybar put it between the axle and where the axle go's into the tranny(you can do this from the top or bottom of the car). Pry against the case so that there is a large amount of pressure being put against the axle(in the outward direction) and it should pop out.

f--- it up! no just wanted to say that, try what hondguyef said, you might try rotating your axle in different positions, I have seen some axles where the c clip on the end of the splines fit lose on the axle, and will catch in the differental grove, might try, if that doesnt work, try getting two people, one under car, and another on top with a prybar, and try prying at same time on the axle....

You will most likely pull the cv joints or tear a boot w/ this method
Try what I stated earlier. LMK how it turns out.

you can also try to hammer it out from the other side of the tranny hole( if u already have one side out), works very well if you have LSD , works for me all the time

Phil thanks for your evaluation of my method, i have used this method many tiems on mroe then just axles if done properly nothing will be damaged.
Try thinking before you post
use a slide hammer with proper setup to grab the inner joint on the side nearest to the tranny where the cv boot isnt
and phil what do you do for a living i fix cars k thanks

hmmm....slide hammer attatched to inner joint?? that would be a special tool....best bet is to use a pry bar.....
if you still can't get it out...put a long screw driver in the driverside and hit the screwdriver to pop the axel out...

I wasn't trying to be a dick! I have never used this mehtod personally, the pry bars always work for me. I am sure not to many others use your method either because using the prybars is much easier and not everyone has a puller handy!
Oh yeah, BTW, NO, I don't fix cars for a living I am a TF39 jet engine mechanic! Thanks

Usually phil the indicates being a dick,
Regardless nobody gave me any prerequisites of available tools or nobody asked what was easier
Since when did jet engine mechanics pull axles out k thanks.
Oh and as far as hitting evryhting in the world with the hammer being the answer that would be the method that justifies the name hack

elusive EK4,
When did I state anything about using a hammer? Once again, I was not trying to be an *** w/ the in my prior post. So, I am sorry about that I guess. Just because you "fix cars for a living" doesn't mean ****! Lets stop ruining his thread,PM me w/ anymore comments.
