Default How much will Flat Valves (omni's) bump up compression.

I was just wondering how much these valves will bump up compression ratios?

I know the flat supertechs bump up the comp. ratio by .2, I have heard omni & skunk 2 flat valves are the same.

If its that small then whats the point. That's not enough for me pay that kind of loot to have. I think ill save that and get Aluminum rods or some.

Wait a minute .4 on a b20 now that's gangsta right there whats the cost on a set of those shipped to 92026

The compression loss will vary depending on your total combustion chamber volume. Running High Compression piston, then flat bottoms will have more of an impact than on a OE CR piston.

If you want to actually CALCULATE your CR based on your valves, assume:
3cc VOLUME LOSS PER CYLINDER over OEM valves. This came straight from Steve at Omni.

Now you go here:
http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php

Pick your head or if you had your head cc'ed with OEM valve then subtract 3cc from that and enter that value into the combustion chamber volume.

Why you would put a HEAVIER valve in your head for such a little gain is beyond me.
